Firstly we would like to say how proud we all are of how well all of the children in Foundation Stage have settled into a new school year. We especially welcome our brand new primary one children. We have had great fun with our friends, playing and learning outside and in the classroom.
As we are currently working in bubbles, each class has been given their own outdoor area. Mrs. Weir would love each class to develop their own outdoor play area and we need your help. Do you know any joiners? Carpenters? Or friends and family with great DIY skills or who could help us source materials and resources to use? We would love to hear from you. Please send an email to the school email address, marked FAO Foundation Stage Staff.
We would love to make the following for Primary 1 and 2...we would need one for each area:
- a mud kitchen
- a stationary role play car/bus/train
- a role play shop front
We have included example pictures of some of our ideas.
We are also looking for the following materials:
- Cable reels
- Pallets
- Tyres
- Guttering, tubing, piping,
- Planks of wood (smooth)
- Tree stumps/logs
If you have any other ideas how we could enhance our area, we would love to hear them! We know the children will have so much fun and benefit from our exciting new additions.
