Today we held our first Rights Respecting Schools Day. Each class had the opportunity to learn about the 54 rights of the child. The youngest children enjoyed learning about the differences between ‘needs and wants’ . The Key Stage 2 children focussed on the important themes of Identity , The Goals of Education and Discrimination.
Throughout next year we will be continuing our Rights Respecting Schools journey and helping our children to understand that they each have rights and that those rights are there to protect them and to help them achieve their full potential.
