In Primary 1 this week we are learning:
Numeracy
- The counting words to 10.
- To make sets to match to a spoken number or a written numeral.
- To count a set accurately and state ‘how many’ (up to 5).
- To join in with number rhymes and songs.
Literacy
- Understand how writing is formed directionally, a word at a time.
- Interact with others appropriately.
- Use environmental print.
- To match sound to symbol (s, a, t).
- To begin to match and recognise high frequency words (and, a, the).
- To mark make using our pre-writing shapes.
