Safer Internet Day 2022
Today is Safer Internet Day!
Each year in the UK, Safer Internet Day explores a new issue or theme which is impacting the lives of young people. For 2022 the Day celebrates young people’s role in creating a safer internet and the ways they are shaping the interactive entertainment spaces they are a part of. The platforms young people use are spaces for connection, community and collaboration, which is why the Day challenges them to foster supportive relationships and respectful communities, whilst equipping them with the skills they need to keep themselves and others safe in these spaces.
As a parent or carer you play a key role in helping your child to stay safe online. You don’t need to be an expert on the internet to help keep your child stay safe online. The following advice and resources are here to support you as you support your child to use the internet safely, responsibly and positively.
