Road Safety Week 2019
10th Dec 2019
Road Safety Week was 18th- 23rd November.
We had a special assembly and asked everyone to "Step up for Safe Streets."
Every 20 minutes someone is killed or seriously injured on a British road and each tragedy could be prevented.
We told everyone they had the right to Safe and Healthy Journeys.
The great news is that the answers to making SAFE journeys lie with US.
We must plan and build more safe places for people to walk and cycle. We need safe speed limits on our roads.
We reminded everyone to:
- ALWAYS use the Green Cross Code to cross the road safely.
- ALWAYS wear your seatbelt when travelling in a vehicle.
- Be SAFE...be SEEN...wear bright clothes.
Each class were given road safety activity competitions. The winners will be announced at the next J.R.S.O assembly.
