Primary 1, 2 and 3 pick up times are changing!

A couple of parents have contacted school regarding our staggered drop off and pick up procedures. We have reviewed these and our pick up times are changing from Monday 5th October. 

Our staggered start times will remain the same. These are in line with the rest of the school. Please note it is important that children come to school at their allocated time.

8.45am Surnames A-F

9.00am Surnames G-M

9.15am Surnames N-Z

The times and arrangements for pick up (Primary 1, 2, and 3) are as follows:

1.50pm Surnames A-F

1.55pm Surnames G-M

2.00pm Surnames N-Z

Please note that no additional teaching takes place during this time. Time has been allocated to allow us to ensure children can wash hands and get ready for home. As are becoming experts at this, we have been able to reduce the time that it takes and shorten the staggered times at the end of the day.

When parents collect children from their class doors, we ask that you leave the playground as quickly as possible, following our one-way system. Key stage two children are often using their outdoor learning areas and it is important for everyone's safety, that children and adults walk along the outside edge of the playground. Parents should ensure children do not touch playground equipment.

Current regulations state that adults should maintain 2 metres social distancing therefore Primary 1 parents should not come beyond the fence/gate. Primary 2 parents should not come into the yellow box. Primary 3 parents should wait at the wall.

We understand these are very different times due to Covid-19 and we want to reassure you that although our door cannot 'always be open' at present we are only a phone call away. If you have any queries or concerns, please phone the school office and we will return your call.
