In December, Red class enjoyed reading ‘The Gingerbread Man’. The boys and girls were keen to make gingerbread men of their own! We found a recipe, made the dough, rolled it and then cut out some gingerbread men before baking them in the oven. Fortunately none of our gingerbread men ran away when we opened the oven door! Once they had cooled, we had great fun using icing, Smarties and chocolate drops to decorate them. Then we got to taste them and we thought of lots of words to describe the taste. Mrs Weir and Miss Anderson were lucky enough to receive a special delivery and they agreed that our gingerbread men were delicious!
